I am so thrilled to say that my 2019 wedding season kicked off with Jonathan and Kayla’s beautiful wedding day!

First off, I have to say that Jonathan is a very talented photographer! So when him and Kayla asked me to do their wedding day, I was super excited to work with them, but also a little nervous! I always feel a little extra pressure when working with other creatives. However, these two were absolute sweethearts to work with! They trusted my guidance and were oh so fun!! I loved it.

In our meeting prior, they had told me about the beauty that is Genesis Farm and Garden, so, when I drove up, it did not surprise me how absolutely picturesque it was. Even the getting ready rooms for both the Kayla and Jonathan were stunning! After exchanging notes in their rooms, in which Jonathan surprised Kayla with a little gift as well, Kayla did a daddy daughter first look. It was such a sweet moment. I love when brides decide to have a special time with their dad.

She was then escorted toward Jonathan and then left to have their personal time. They were so cute. The first look was only the beginning of them not being able to wipe the smiles from their faces. They were giggling and making jokes the rest of the time they had together. It was adorable! It set the mood to the rest of the day!

Every time I get to watch a first look or a ceremony, it amazes me that this is my job. I literally get to capture people on one of the best days of their life and it is unreal to be a part of it. I have literally been so blessed with each of my couples. Each radiate a happiness that it is contagious! Jonathan and Kayla were exactly that- they absolutely radiated! Oh and guys, they had actual doves that flew out for their first kiss at the end of their ceremony. DOVES!! You know, the white birds! We also had Mount Rainier pop out during our sunset pictures! Can we say magical?!
