Ok, I knew Kate was going to be a dream to work with after our first phone call. She was SO easy to talk to, and her vision for her wedding day had me beyond giddy! I mean Whidbey Island?! Water? Pastel colors scheme? What’s not to be excited about!?
Her wedding day was as dreamy as she envisioned. I couldn’t get enough of her bouquet by Beaufort Events Co. and her dress made this photographer want to cry with how GORGEOUS it was! It’s all in the details! Just a side note- Kate’s bouquet had the same little swan in it that was in her parent’s wedding bouquet. I love traditions like that. Traditions that bind family!
They shared the sweetest first look, and afterwards decided to read their vows to better prepare for when they said them in front of their friends and family. It was such an intimate and tender moment between these two. I’ve found that vows and toasts really let you get to know the bride and groom. They’re quickly becoming one of my many favorite parts of a wedding day.
After the ceremony, we went down to the beach for some more portraits. Guys, water may be my new favorite backdrop after this wedding. Seriously.
After a fun filled night of their reception, Kevin and I headed home. Literally, while we were on the ferry heading back… HUGE fireworks went off into the night’s sky (I wish I had a picture to prove it)! I couldn’t help but think that was the right way to end this perfect wedding day.
